A few random thoughts at the end of this week:
WAAAARRRR EAGLE!!!!!! - We're back, Florida loses to us...AGAIN. Tubberville needs to get a receipt from Urban Meyer...cause he OWNS HIM!!!!!
USA Women's Soccer - Hope Solo should be ashamed of herself. I agree that the coach made a bonehead decision taking out someone with her record before the most important game of their career, but it's over, we lost, and you don't air your dirty laundry in public. It accomplishes nothing and makes her look like an ass. And now she's off the team which was absolutely the right thing for the coach to do.
2 bands are owning me right now. First, Decemberadio. Their entire album is much more rocking than the singles you may have heard. David Bensinger has been high on them for months but I'm late to the party. Better late than never, they have some great tunes. The other group is the Foo Fighters with their new album Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. I've been a big fan of these guys for years and somehow they seem to get better and better every time out. The songs on this album are rock from another planet. So original and just plain kickin'.
Rock Bridge Church. Working with these guys this weekend in Dalton, GA. I'm blown away at the stories I'm hearing of life change, freedom from addiction, decisions for Christ. These guys lead by pastor Matt Evans are owning this town and this county for Christ. I love Matt's humility. He's a great leader with great vision. His people truly love him, as I've said before, the mark of a true king. The Church needs more guys like this.
Nice to see you've caught up ! By the way, I picked up the new David Crowder Band album "Remedy" yesterday. INCREDIBLE! Tara got one from a guy named Jason Upton called "Faith." It's a couple of years old, live worship, kinda Keith Green sounding, Owen would love it. From Upton's site: "During the live recordings Jason received the song “Faith” spontaneously from the Spirit, thereby confirming the CD’s title." Cool stuff.
